Caramel Apple Tea Recipe

Let’s be frank—fall is all about the cozy vibes. From chunky knits to pumpkin-flavored EVERYTHING and crisp air, literally screaming at you to curl up with a hot drink, this season just hits different. And if you are anything like me, you are always in search of that quintessential drink to sip on while taking it all in.

Move over, pricey Starbucks drinks. Let me introduce you to something better: Caramel Apple Tea.

Imagine this: warming spices like in chai, tangy sweetness from fresh apples, rich, buttery smoothness like caramel. Now imagine all that whisked up in one mug. Fall in a cup, right? Let me show you how to make it.

Why Caramel Apple Tea?

We all have love for a good caramel apple, but what if it were something that one could drink? This tea combines the warmth of spiced chai with the sweet, natural flavors of apples and creamy caramel to create something truly indulgent and comforting. Plus, it's a heck of a lot easier than making a caramel apple from scratch—and with a whole lot less stick.

It's not just something to drink; it’s an experience in itself. Whether sipped while watching leaves fall or enjoyed after a particularly long day, this recipe is all about slowing down and truly savoring those flavors of the season.

The Recipe: Caramel Apple Tea

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoon of Queen of Chai Tea blend

  • 1 cup of water

  • 1/4 cup of apple juice or 1 small apple - Granny Smith or Honeycrisp variety, cored, and chopped

  • 2 tablespoons of pre-made caramel sauce (or more…)

  • Whipped cream, preferably from a can

  • Optional: Pinch of cinnamon for a little added warmth

  • Optional: Apple slice for garnish

Instructions:

Step 1: Brew the Tea
First, take 1 cup of water and bring to a boil. Add in 1 tablespoon of the Queen of Chai Tea mix, then reduce heat. Let simmer for 7 minutes to really bring those bold flavors out. Then, strain the tea into a cup and set aside.

Step 2: Blending Ingredients
Add the apple juice or cut apples and 2 tablespoons of caramel sauce in a blender. Pour the brewed chai tea into the blender and blend until smooth and well combined on high speed.

Step 3: Strain if needed.
You will want to strain the blended mixture through a fine-mesh strainer or let it spill into a juicer to remove the pulp in case you don't like pulp. I personally don't have a problem with a little bit of texture because it adds to the homemade nature of it.

Step 4: TO SERVE AND FINISH
Pour the smooth tea into your favorite mug. Top it off with a generous swirl of whipped cream, because let’s face it—whipped cream makes everything better. Drizzle a little extra caramel sauce over the top and, if you're feeling extra fancy, garnish with a thin apple slice or sprinkle on some cinnamon.

Step 5: Serve
Now for the best part—grab your mug, get comfy, and sip on your indulgent creation. Each sip is the perfect balance of creamy, fruity, and spiced warmth. In fact, it is like a hug in a mug.

A Little Extra Warmth

If you want to notch the cozy up a little, add in a pinch of cinnamon or even a dash of nutmeg. The spices really set off the caramel and apple well in the tea, giving it a little added depth of warmth that just feels like fall should.
